Side Quests of Reality ("we", "us", "the site") respects your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you subscribe (free or paid): your email address, your name (if you provide it), and your tier membership status.
When you pay for a membership: payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy is at https://stripe.com/privacy.
When you visit the site: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and analytics purposes. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand which content is popular.
When you contact us: whatever you choose to share in your message.
How we use it
- To send you the content you signed up for (newsletter, dispatches, member emails)
- To process payments and provide access to paid content
- To respond to your messages
- To improve the site based on what readers actually engage with
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not rent the email list to third parties.
You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link at the bottom of every dispatch. Unsubscribing from emails does not cancel a paid membership, to cancel, log into your account.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies, primarily for authentication (so you stay logged in) and basic analytics. No third-party advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Email privacy@sidequestsofreality.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll note the new date at the top and, for significant changes, notify members by email.
